Interesting Topic of the Month: Earth Day 2021: What can you do to celebrate the planet you call home?
Earth Day falls every year in April, and this year over 1 billion people are planning to act, in some way, on April 22nd. Perhaps, this year, you might consider doing something to restore and protect the Earth, learn more about the Earth, or honor the planet you call home.
Should you want to restore and protect the Earth, perhaps you can consider planting trees, cleaning up trash in a local wildlife area, practice becoming more sustainable through reducing, reusing, and recycling, putting up bird or squirrel feeders, or setting up a rest area for bees.
Should you want to learn more about the Earth, you might visit www.earthday.org to learn about the events taking place this year on Earth day, learn more about initiatives such as plogging (picking up trash while jogging), regenerative agriculture, and reforestation, or to learn about the global climate summit happening this day. You might also choose to watch a nature documentary or another documentary about protecting the Earth, such as Before the Flood or A Plastic Ocean.
Should you want to honor the planet you call home, you might take the day to spend time appreciating nature. At the simplest, get outside, take your shoes off, and spend a few minutes enjoying Earth. You might decide to go hiking, camping, or spend the full day in nature. It is even better if, while doing this, you can do something to leave it a little cleaner than you left it.
Earth Day is a great opportunity to get the whole family, big kids, little kids, and adults, involved in spending time together and enjoying the planet we call home. We at Orsinger Investment Group, Inc. hope you will take some time to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy Earth as we welcome in spring.
